Seedlings Class is made up of children from Nursery and Reception. The class teacher is Mrs Eaton.
The Nursery and Reception children in Seedlings learn partly through whole group discussion, and small group practical activities. We follow the Early Years Curriculum and shape our curriculum based on the children's individual interests and needs. We recognise that children develop and learn in different ways and at different rates. Children learn in small groups working with adults and also through child-initiated activities inside and outside. Alongside these activities, children also participate in Forest Schools and PE sessions.

Pine class contains a mix age of Years 1 and 2 pupils. The class teacher is Mrs Ball.
Year 1 and 2 follow the Key Stage 1 curriculum and have plenty of opportunity for active learning through child initiated investigation and exploring. We are currently developing the outside area attached to Pine class to allow outside learning to take place
Juniper Class consists of Year 3 and 4 pupils who are taught the lower key stage 2 curriculum by Mrs Peach.
Morning lessons cover our core subjects (Literacy and Numeracy) whilst the afternoon subjects are taught through a thematic approach.
Sycamore class is for the upper end of the school and currently contains a mix of children from Years 5 & 6. The class teacher is Mr Norfolk.
Formal teaching of literacy and numeracy is timetabled for morning sessions with the afternoons consisting of foundation subjects taught through a thematic approach. Children in this class have opportunities throughout the school year to be involved in activities with children from other local primary schools as well as attend sessions run by our local high schools.
