Today we said goodbye to our wonderful group of year 6's many of whom we have known since they joined us in nursery and even before that! They read their farewell speeches and sang with all their might. It has been a privilege to watch them grow in confidence, resilience, and kindness throughout their time at Mendham. We hope they will take the friendships and memories with them to High School where they will make many more. To the Year 6 class of 2026: We think you're very special, And we wanted you to know, Your time at Mendham has been amazing, And we're so sad to see you go! We've all done so much together, We've laughed and smiled and learned, After such an exciting journey, Enjoy the summer break you've earned. Remember to come and visit, We would love to see you grow, You have a lot to learn ahead, But there is one thing you should know: The thing that makes you wonderful, And will shine through all you do, Is just to be yourself, And be proud that you are you!

The year 6 pupils enjoyed a thrill-seeking time at Pleasurewood Hills yesterday! They had a fabulous day, enjoying the exciting rides and amusements!

Pine Class has a super day out to Bewilderwood on Friday. Along with Oak class we enjoyed all the mazes, slides, shows, boat ride and fantastic climbing frames. The children were a credit to the school, making to most of their day out but also being respectful to each other and other visitors to the park. Well done Pine Class.

Pine class are class of the week in this weeks Diss Express

Last Friday Mendham Primary School held its annual sports day at Mendham and Withersdale village hall. During the morning the children took part in a variety of athletic events prior to parents arrival after lunch. All the children gave it their best and took park in egg and spoon, sack, relay, obstacle as well as sprint races. Parents also raced at the end, cheered on by their children, thank you to all for taking part and making it a special day. Congratulations to Waveney house who won overall, followed by Orwell, Deben and Dove. Year 6 ran stalls afterwards and we had amazing support from FOMSA - Friends of Mendham School Association 2024 with refreshments throughout the day.

This year Juniper have had a visit from a real Roman Centurian, learnt all about habitats at Thetford forest and had a fantastic residential trip - What a lot of fun!

This year's KS 2 performance 'Panto Pandemonium' was a roaring success this week. Staff and children pulled out all the stops to bring panto land to Mendham. As a group of children travelled through different scenes collecting elements from each panto to restore the magic in panto land, there was singing and dancing, booing and hissing. The audience played their part well and joined in too. Congratulations to everyone involved for a spectacular summer show.
