Letters & Noticeboards

We are pleased to publish our School Letters, News and Community Information on the Menu to the right.

Dear Parents/Carers,

I hope that you have all had a relaxing Easter break. This term we are looking at the reign of Edward VI in our topic work. We will also be writing diary entries from the point of view of Edward VI in literacy lessons and thinking about what we could make to commemorate his reign in DT. In art we are learning about the Arts and Crafts period and in particular William Morris and will be comparing his work to that of Clarice Cliff. In maths we continue to follow the White Rose schemes of learning with blocks on decimals, mass and capacity, money, time and statistics. Science topic will be states of matter and a recap of light before moving on to learn about plants in the second half of the term.

PE will continue to be taught, by Mrs Tilley, on a Friday morning. The children will need to come to school in PE kit and bring uniform to change into. Juniper Class do not have Forest School this term.

I will continue to set homework tasks on Google Classroom, so please ask the children to check it regularly. We have been working on spellings in school and this has proven to be very effective, so we will continue to learn spellings in this way. If you would like them to practice at home too, then please ask your child to bring home a copy.

As I am sure you are aware, the class have decided that they would like to tidy and brighten up our outdoor area. Thank you to those of you that have already brought in plants and seeds! There is plenty of space for more though, so if you have any plants, seeds, pots or compost that you can spare then we would be really grateful.

Finally, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me by email or catch me in the mornings.

Yours sincerely

Mrs Molly Ball
